Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) MDCAT -2023 (For Admissions in MBBS & BDS in Session 2023-24)
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has finally announced the schedule of MDCAT entry test 2023. This special entrance exam will be conducted loally and internationally on 27th August 2023 (Sunday), through Admitting Universities of all 4 Provinces of Pakistan , Islamabad & Gilgit Baltistan. This MDCAT entry test will be a paper-based exam. This Medical and Dental colleges admission test will be conducted simultaneously at all centers or venues. The details of these designated universities & their centers have been given below:
1. Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta (BUMHS)
2. Jinnah Sindh Medical University Karachi (JSMU Sindh)
3. Khyber Medical University Peshawar (KMU Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
4. University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS Punjab)
5.AJK (SZAMBU)
6. International Venues (SZAMBU)
7. Federal & Gilgit (University name will be updated on PM&DC website when notified by the federal government).
Schedule of MDCAT 2023
Online registration for MDCAT entry test will starts from 17th July, 2023.
Last date for online registration of MDCAT entrance exam will be 31 July, 2023.
Online registration for entry test with late fee will continue from 1st August, 2023 to 7th August, 2023.
Date for commencement of MDCAT 2023 has also been announced which is 27 Aug, 2023, 10 AM.
Online registration fee for exam centres located in Pakistan will be Rs.6,000/- which will be non-refundable/non-transferable. This fee is the same as last year.
Late registration fee for Pakistani centers is-Rs.9,000/- .
For international exam centres overseas students will have to pay USD 100 (Non-refundable/Non-transferable) as registration fee.
150$ is the late registration fee for international test centres
Kindly note that the MDCAT test will be conducted simultaneously at all test centres at 10 AM PST. Time for the test at International Centres for overseas Pakistani students will be indicated on the admit card issued by PMDC.
Basic Qualification/Eligibility Criteria:
1. Any person (Pakistani or Overseas Pakistani) will be eligible to register for & attempt the MDCAT examination.
2. Candidates are required to upload first year FSc (Pre-Med) Marks Sheet / DMC while submitting their details on the PM&DC MDCAT Entry Test Registration Portal.
3. In case of O & A level background, the candidate is required to upload O and A level transcript and actual continuation letter from the respective institute.
4. A candidate is permitted to take the MDCAT entry test only once in each calendar year.
Validity of MDCAT Entrance Result:
1. A candidate’s MDCAT result shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of the examination.
2. Results of MDCAT 2022 are no longer valid for admission this year i.e 2023.
3. If a person retakes the MDCAT entry test during this period, the person may use the highest attained result to apply to a medical college or dental college.

Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Swabi and Malakand.

Choice of Local Test Centre:
The candidates are directed to choose 1 city or station mentioned above in order of preference for appearance in the MDCAT entry test by PMDC. The candidates are advised for their own convenience to choose city or station nearest to their residence. City/station once selected can not be changed.
Pattern of PM&DC MDCAT Entry Test 2023
• The MDCAT entry test will be a multiple-choice type, paper-based test conducted in the English language only.
• It will consist of 200 MCQs according to the following weightage:
