Government of Pakistan’s Initiatives For Hajj

To ensure the safety & well-being of the hajis, the Pakistani central government also sets strict guidelines for the Hajj operators & private travel agents. These guidelines include ensuring that the pilgrims are provided with suitable accommodation, transportation & medical facilities in Makkah and Madina. The govt also requires the Hajj operators to obtain a license from the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Hajj before they can offer Hajj services to the pilgrims. Hajj Policy 2024 & Expenses

Federal ministry of religious affairs has announced the Hajj policy 2024 after the approval from central government cabinet. According to this policy this year 179210 men and women from Pakistan will perform Haj. Hajj quota will be distributed 50, 50 % between private and government hajj schemes. Under the government hajj scheme 1.1 million rupees be the expenditures of Haj. Hajj applications 2024 will be received till 0 March, 2024. Saudi government has removed the age restrictions so now even people of above 65 years of age will also be allowed to apply. In short now from Pakistan people of all ages will be allowed to apply. Pakistanis who have performed hajj in last 5 years will not be eligible to apply for Hajj 2024. Mehram will be mandatory for those females who want to perform hajj. Females of Fiqa Jafria who are above 45 years of age will be allowed to perform Haj without mehrum.

 

 

 Hajj 2024 Application Schedule

As i mentioned above that from 0-03-2024 applications will be received in the designated bank branches and the last date for submission of Hajj applications 2024 is 0 March, 2024. Lucky draw for Hajj 2024 will be conducted in April 2024. Applications will be received through 14 public and private banks of Pakistan. This year sponsorship scheme has also been launched for overseas Pakistanis. Applicants who will deposit Dollars or Riyals under sponsorship scheme will be exempted from lucky draw. Applicants will not be allowed to deposit dollars or riyals from Pakistan.

50% booking under private and government hajj schemes will be done under sponsorship scheme. Applications of such applicants will be accepted on first come first serve basis. Selection under regular Hajj scheme 2024 will be carried out through computerized lucky draw. Its result will be displayed on the website of the ministry. No body will be allowed to perform hajj free from Pakistan. Mask will be mandatory this time also. Facility of train travel will also be provided in Saudia. No profit will be received under regular Hajj scheme as just expenditure will be received from applicants.

Hajj expenditures have been increased this year due to downfall of Pakistani rupee, yet these expenditures are still less than Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh. Applicants should have CNIC and machine readable passport with the minimum expiry date of 0 December, 2024. Corona vaccination certificate is also mandatory for all applicants as per Saudi laws. 5 liters Zam Zam water will be provided to each individual on their return to Pakistan.
