CTI Jobs Description
College teachers interns have to teach the students of 1st and 2nd year for 5 months. During this time periods they are asked to complete the syllabus and take the internal exams. CTIs of science subjects also work in science labs and guide the FSc students about the practicals of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. They may also be given any other academic related task by the Principal of their college.
Salary & Duration of CTI Jobs
College teachers interns are given 45000 rupees monthly stipend. CTIs are hired for the period of 5 months and no extension is given after 5 months. CTIs are also not confirmed on their posts as permanent employees, but at the end of internship period interns are awarded internship certificate, which helps the internees a lot in finding their next permanent teaching job in public or private educational institutes as it shows that candidate has experience of teaching hire classes in a government college. It gives them an edge on other candidates during interviews of even PPSC for lecturer posts.
Eligibility Criteria For CTI Jobs
Eligibility criteria for college teachers interns posts is very simple. There is no age limits for CTI posts. Minimum required educational qualification for CTI posts is MA, MSc/BS. Candidates should have got at least second division in MA or MSc. Five percent CTI jobs are reserved for minorities and 3 percent for special candidates. HED reserves the right to change the term of service including eligibility criteria and salary of CTI jobs in Punjab.
Step by Step Selection Procedure of College Teachers Internees or CTI Jobs
College teaching internship program is offered by Higher Education Department of Punjab before the start of each academic year in the province. Lists of available posts in government colleges are displayed on college notice boards. Applications with the academic documents are received in the concerned colleges within the announced deadline. Then preliminary merit lists are also displayed on the notice boards of related boys or girls colleges.
Then 2 to 3 days are given for filling the complaints against any violation of merit in compiling the merit lists in the office of concerned deputy director colleges. Then merit lists of those candidates are announced will be eligible to appear in interview. After completion of interviews lists of successful candidates in interviews is displayed. Then again few days are given for receiving the complaints about violation of merit in the CTI recruitment process. Then final merit lists of selected college teachers interns are displayed and candidates are informed about their joining date.
