Introduction to MDCAT Entry Test
MDCAT is a entrance test for MBBS and BDS programs in Pakistan. Every year thousands of students appear in this test from all over Pakistan.The test is conducted by the Universities in Pakistan and is of multiple choice type. The test comprises of four sections: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
Latest Breaking News About MDCAT Entry Test 2022
It has been decided by Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) that this year in 2022 MDCAT entry test will be conducted on 13 November, 2023 under uniform policy. Entry test for admission 2022 in army medical colleges will be conducted before MDCAT. This test will be conducted by NUST. 205000 students will appear in MDCAT entry test for 21000 seats of MBBS and BDS. MDCAT entry test in Sindh will be conducted by Dow Medical University. In Punjab Medical and Dental College Entry Test will be conducted by University of Health Sciences (UHS). In Balochistan MDCAT entry test will be organized by BMC (Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences). In KPK Khyber Medical University will conduct and monitor the MDCAT entrance test 2022. In Islamabad Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University will perform the same role.

These universities will be allowed to conduct the MDCAT entrance exam their selves or through any testing agency like NTS or PTS. Pakistan Medical Commission will just finalize the MDCAT syllabus, pattern and numbers of questions. Result of the MDCAT entry test 2022 will be declared on the same day. Regular session of MBBS and BDS will be commence from 1st February, 2022.
It has also been decided that now PEC will conduct the inspection of medical colleges and medical universities instead of HEC. Earlier only those students were allowed to sit in MDCAT entry test who had got 65% marks in F.Sc pre medical but not the minimum required marks in FSc pre medical have been changed. Now those students can also appear in medical and dental colleges entry test who have got 60% numbers in FSc pre medical exam. PMC has also abolished the NLE test for Pakistani students. Now NLE test will be taken by the degree awarding universities and its passing marks have also been reduced from 70% to 50%.
